With a production capacity of 46 MWp and 64,582 solar modules installed, Tiste Solar Park is expected to generate enough electricity to cover the average annual consumption of approximately 10,500 European households. The project has already secured an EEG feed-in tariff for its production as well as the necessary financing, ensuring a solid financial foundation. This makes Tiste solar park a great contribution to the region’s energy transition.
The ceremony gathered local stakeholders and project partners, including Tanja Mado and Mark-Oliver Otto, CEOs of NewDev Management – the developers of the project – Tim Gadatsch, CIO of Nordic Solar, together with local politicians. Following a series of speeches, the ribbon was cut to officially open the site.
Tanja Mado, CEO of Newdev Management, highlighted the project’s balance between energy production, nature, and community collaboration:
“Solarpark Tiste is a strong example of how renewable energy, biodiversity, and local partnership work in synergy. Designed with a strong focus on nature conservation, the park creates valuable natural habitats alongside clean energy production. Our sincere thanks go to all involved for making this ambitious project possible”.
Tim Gadatsch, CIO of Nordic Solar, emphasised:
“Tiste Solar Park is an important step forward for Nordic Solar in Germany. Projects like this play an important role in strengthening Europe’s renewable energy capacity, and we are proud to contribute with long-term investments that deliver reliable power to households across the region. With an EEG feed-in tariff secured, the project stands on a solid foundation, and we look forward to bringing the site fully operational in the months ahead”.
Commercial operations will commence in October.
