Nordic Solar has officially inaugurated the Hultsfred Solar Park in Kalmar County – the second largest solar park in Sweden and the company’s largest operational asset in the country.
05-05-2026

The solar park, which was commissioned in March 2026, has a capacity of 91 MWp and is now supplying renewable electricity to the Swedish grid. The plant is expected to generate power equivalent to the annual consumption of approximately 32,000 European households.
Hultsfred Solar Park consists of around 130,000 solar panels and marks another important step in Nordic Solar’s expansion of renewable energy across Europe.
The inauguration was marked by a ceremony attended by around 50 guests, including partners and local representatives. CFO Patrik Vilhelm Setterberg opened the event, followed by remarks from Christian Roos of E.ON and former municipal commissioner Lars Rosander.
The solar park was officially declared open when Nikolaj Holtet Hoff joined the speakers in cutting the ribbon.
Following the ceremony, guests were invited on a guided tour of the facility.
In his speech, CFO Patrik Vilhelm Setterberg highlighted the importance of collaboration:
“This project is a strong example of what can be achieved through collaboration. I would like to thank everyone involved – both our internal teams and our partners. The close cooperation with, among others, E.ON, Soltech Energy Solutions, Helios, Sunhelp Energy, our suppliers, Kalmar County, Vimmerby Municipality and Hultsfred Municipality has been essential in bringing this solar park into operation.”
CEO Nikolaj Holtet Hoff added:
“We are pleased to see Hultsfred now in operation. Projects of this scale require strong collaboration across many stakeholders, and we would like to thank everyone who contributed to making this project a reality.”
The project has been developed and delivered in collaboration with several partners, including Soltech Energy Solutions, which supported the final commissioning phase, as well as Helios and Sunhelp Energy.
Nordic Solar extends its thanks to all partners and guests for joining the inauguration.
